As you can see my hair is naturally curly (which I despise) so I am constantly straightening it day after day. I was given the opportunity to review this straightener and I absolutely love it. This is the first one I've owned that has a digital screen. You can watch it heat up to 450 degrees in just seconds. With others you are left wondering what the temperature is and how much longer it's going to take to heat up.
When I first started using the straightener I kept accidentally hitting the buttons and changing the temperature until I discovered the lock feature. After you select the temperature you want hit the power button twice and it will lock in your settings. You will hear a beeping noise each time you hit the button letting you know that the settings are being changed. When you are finished, simply hit the power button 2 more times and it will turn the feature off so that you can change the temperature or turn off the straightener. I have found that when I hold the straightener with my thumb on the square above the LCD screen that I don't hit the buttons. If it's locked and you accidentally hit the buttons it will still beep at you but none of your settings will change.
This straightener doesn't just straighten your hair, you can also use it to make curls and beachy waves as well. Never use this straightener when your hair is wet. I suggest using oils and heat protection serums when applying any heat to your hair. I've had really great results with this straightener and it leaves my hair feeling silky smooth. I highly recommend it!
